The holidays are here! It is a time to enjoy family, friends, food, and wonderful traditions. However, while making merry, our overall health can take a beating. How can one stay healthy through the holidays?

Did you know that Americans gain 1-2 pounds during the holiday season? While that might not seem like much, most Americans never lose those 1-2 pounds and they pile up over the years. With so many extra activities to tend to, Americans tend to be less physically active through the season as well. The frenzy of the season can increase the amount of stress we experience. For others, the holidays may increase symptoms of depression.
